Flipping Typical

Check out this browser-based way to compare different type faces: flipping typical (via John Nack). The WTF? link has more info on what’s going on.

While not entirely a new idea, I like the concept and execution via CSS and JavaScript. This would be a great extension for Dreamweaver, and I can imagine a variation of this for use with design and layout applications for previewing a variety of fonts for information presentation.

You can turn Wacom pressure options on and off right up in the Options bar. When you have a tool that supports pressure sensitivity selected, click the pen icon over a transparency to control the Opacity and choose the pen icon over a bulls-eye to control the brush size. (via planetphotoshop.com)

Have you explored the blend modes available in Photoshop? If so, you can get to most of your favorites by using a shortcut: Shift + Option/Alt + (first letter of blend mode).
